The Epstein Class is a moniker coined on the fediverse and then later expanded in a treatment by Cory Doctorow. The term refers to the class of outrageously wealthy people who are protected but not bound by western law and the name comes from now infamous convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein
Members of the Epstein Class are not always engaged in heinous crimes like sex trafficking and paedophilia but often show little regard for the environment, choosing to commute to work by private jet or even flying walkable distances to avoid traffic.
